EMILY’S BLOG!

If I were president for a day I would I know I would have to act quickly. Alot of kids make up plans that would take a long time to do. I would probably try to  pass a law that helps the big three car companies in Michigan. If we don’t help them out then so many people will lose their jobs, and the economy will get worse. How? Well if those people lose jobs they probably won’t be going out anymore or at least not that often. Therefore, businessess will be losing costomers,making the economy even worse!!! That is the only thing I would do if I were president for a day.

Life for a middle school student is actually quite boring. We wake up, go to school, go home, do homework, take a shower, and sleep. Then the next day comes and we do it all over again! Well, at least that’s what my days are like. Hayes Middle School is a pretty good school to go to. It functions just like every other school in the U.S. I have had some challenging experiences in middle schol. First, it took some time getting used to middle school. Teachers expected different things, you had alot more homework, and the lunch line was really confusing! Another challenging experience I had when I was a 6th grader, was to get used to the 7th and 8th graders. I think that coming from being the biggest in elementary school, it was hard being the smallest again. I haven’t had many challenging experiences since then. I have learned that the teachers are all different, so if one teacher wants you to write alot, another teacher might not like long descriptive stories. How’s life for you here at Hayes??? Uniforms are something that alot of schools have. But why?? Some say it is a way to encourage “uniformity” amoung the students. I don’t think so. I think that uniforms don’t express a students individuality, wearing their own clothes do! Another thing people say is that it creates a more positive learning experience. How can uniforms create a better learning experience? I think that uniforms are a bad idea…but what do you think?? Comment saying if you would want to wear uniforms or not! :]

Most of you have heard of T.I right?? You probably also know that he’s going to jail really soon for a year. But did you know that his real name is Clifford Harris Jr.??? Well he went back to court today (February 20), but this time, it wasn’t him in the hot seat. He was talking to troubled teenagers aout turning their life around. He told them to work hard and stay in school, but before T.I heads off to jail he must complete 1,000 service hours. That’s alot!! There is so much information on this subject, so if you want to hear more click on this!!

No, Facebook does not have a right to the information people post. What people post are their own business and no one should be able to view or own anything the owner doesn’t want them to view or own. I think it was very sneaky for the owners of Facebook to change the rules. With these new rules, they are also able to access your pictures even if you have deleted your account! People are getting really mad about this, there is even a group against Facebook. They pressured Facebook so much that Facebook changed their rules back to what they used to be…for now.

I think that we could use alot more technology in this school to improve it. First of all, each classroom could have laptops. This way, the library wouldn’t always be so crowded. Classes would come in for library days, get a couple books, and leave. It would also be great if we could all get new computers (especially the technology portable!). What i mean is that our computers aren’t that great, so getting new computers would help us greatly. That is how i think technology could help our school.

As you all know we have a four day weekend coming up! Do you have any plans?? I don’t YET. I’ll get back to you guys later if something comes up. Just leave me a comment saying if anything special is going on!! peace:]

Heyy! Okay so this post is for people who are bored and have nothing to do. I want to know what you guys are doing for the weekend! I am sadly not doing anything:(. Although my friend Alissa wants me to go skiing with her on Friday which I think is absolutely ridiculous because I’ve never skied before! And I don’t even know how to ski!! Well anyway, leave me a comment saying if I should go with her or if I shouldn’t. Also include what YOU are doing this weekend!  I’ll post soon again! PEACE:)
